Management, Inc. (FIRM Systems) is a live scan vendor certified
by the IL State Police to submit fingerprint criminal background
checks to the IL State Police and the FBI. We have been performing live
scan fingerprinting services for almost 10 years, providing over
150,000 fingerprint submissions to ISP/FBI for almost every industry in
Illinois. FIRM currently works with over 700 healthcare providers in
the State of IL and over 600 school districts for regulatory compliance.
FIRM is one of the four contracted vendors by the IL Dept of Public
Health to perform fingerprinting in compliance with the IL Healthcare
Worker Background Check Act. FIRM is authorized to provide
fingerprinting services in the State of IL for all regulated entities,
excluding HazMat drivers and IDCFS licensed businesses, such as
adoption services and day care.
FIRM operates over 40 live scan fingerprinting services sites
throughout Illinois. Fingerprint services are provided via a
network of services agents operating FIRM livescan equipment. KCB Info Services is a FIRM agent, trained
and authorized to provide fingerprinting service on FIRM
equipment. This approach has been authorized by IDPH as
indicated by their contract with FIRM. Please note that this
arrangement is NOT a subcontract for services, which is prohibited by
the Act. (both FIRM and MCCH use this business approach – and are
both authorized by IDPH – see the IDPH Live Scan Fingerprint Form)
Lastly, FIRM has been designated “preferred vendor” status from
the IL Health Care Association who represents most long term healthcare
providers in Illinois. No other vendor is sanctioned by this
trade association to provide background checks for their
membership. FIRM carries the distinction of being the only full
service pre-employment background screening organization in Illinois
providing both comprehensive background screening services (name based
criminal history, drivers histories, employment history, education
verification, etc) as well as fingerprinting services. Other
vendors provide one or the other, but not both.
This provides a complete solution to organizations like Timber
Creek to meet the regulatory requirements on both employment (the IL
Healthcare Worker Background Check Act) and residential services (the
IL Sex Offender and Identified Offender Acts) which require a name
based criminal history at or before intake time, and IF necessary a
fingerprint. So FIRM is the only company offering a single
solution to both problems.
